The Global Investigative Journalism Conference 2019 in Hamburg featured many academic speakers who presented new research on investigative reporting and tips to teach research and data journalism.
IJEC helped select the speakers and organized the academic track and we will publish an online reader of all the research papers that made it through the selection rounds.
For now, you can look at the tip sheets and presentations of the conference’s many presentations here.
IJEC’s Brant Houston and Jelter Meers both presented at the conference’s data track. You can read an overview of Houston’s panel on the latest trends in data reporting on the conference’s website.
